Other updates

Greetings all

I have secured the domain name and have hosting. Going through the learning process to set up the site. Quick rundown.

Established hosting
Registered the site name
Trying to get the FTP software loaded
Plugged in the Word Press options

Then the wife and son came home. After that all fell apart and have to be a few days before I can get things going. So if you go to lean6leadership.com you will see nothing up. I should hopefully have someting goin on very shortly.

Here it isepisode 22 with all of its flaws.

What is CI and how do you handle more than one generation of workers. Listen and find out.

Some prep for episode 22

During the episode I say it is episode 21. Sorry about that.

During the episode I will ask you to do something for me. I am looking at building up my own practice and for advertising or at least informational purposes I need some feed back. So to use what I will have in my advertising literature please look at my LinkdIn page and give me some criticism.

A link to look at

I keep saying in the podcasts that culture is very important. It is the character of your company. That character drives how you do things. To do an implementation it is vital to know what you can push and where.

Here is a link to a great article that goes into why understanding culture is so improtant when planning a project.

Going to be a fun ride on this one. Did a full record in the car on monday. Went to a PMI meeting and had to make changes. Have the rerecord of the 1st segment done. Tonight on the way home I'll do a rerecord of The Future segment. I'll have it up on thursday.

Future is change. The future has already happened.

Greetings

I went to a local chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) meeting last night. The presenter was the owner of a consulting company headquartered locally. The individual had a ton of experience in the IT industry. He has been working in it since before it was the IT industry.

Then today I listen to The Survival Podcast episode 819 http://www.thesurvivalpodcast.com/ and the host was talking about a very similar thing only from a diffrent perspective.

Change in technology was the subject of last nights discussion. Change to all brought about by technology was in the podcast.

I have every intention of discussing what is rumbling around in my head right now on the next podcast episode. However I need to get it structered in my head. however I will get a better post up here in the near future. I would recomend listening to the episode 819 of The Survival Podcast as I may refrence to it. This is not the first time this week I've heard refrences to the kinds of change coming. So that tells me the change has already happened and we do not realize it yet.

Episode 20 Rewards and Incentives

Greetings

Here is the rewards and incentives episode.

Hopeing for a bit of contraversey.

Equiptment Upgrades

Well we have a new microphone and started the re record of the podcast for episode 20. Huge diffrence a day makes. Diffrent tone and a more positive outlook in regard to the subject matter. Also the sound is much improved, no more sounding like I'm talking through a blanket.

I'll try to get it up in the next day or so.

New Site still working

The upgrades and such for a new site is still a work in progress. I will be devoting some time to getting the pieces together. In the mean time I have been recording Episode 20. This one is a listener driven subject on incentives. I've recorded the first draft of the episode and intend to record the second today after I listen to it today.

Edits are in the work. Wife called me and the ring tone for her came in loud and clear and I was interrupted a few times and it is real bad. Also my headset got banged around pretty bad. It is functional but for how long I have no Idea. I will be purchasing a new one today.

Interesting things here as of tonight the local chapter of the APICS is having a short class on Lean and a bit of networking in the town in which I live. That takes place on 10 January 2012. I will not make it as I have other items to attend to. However I will be at the PMI Suncoast meeting on the 11th of January 2012. I am looking at other events to attend, about one a week in the area that I live.

Should I do another episode on Networking? If so please email me or leave a comment.
